Who We Are!
2025 Board Members

Vice President - Dan Fortier
Hi, my name is Dan, and I've been playing disc golf for 8 years. I love the camaraderie and the relaxed nature of the disc golf community. This is my fifth year on the RDGA board after 3 years as president and one year as treasurer. My main goals are to work towards developing new courses and assist with RDGA initiatives such as the TDO. When I'm not disc golfing, I'm most likely being active in other ways, spending time with family and friends and learning about various interests such as nutrition, exercising, history, politics and public affairs.

Program Director - Samantha Dustyhorn
Hi, I’m Samantha Dustyhorn, and this is my 5th year playing disc golf. I’m always on the go—if I’m not out on the course, you’ll likely find me on the soccer field. When I’m not playing sports, I’m probably in my garden, walking my dogs, experimenting with new recipes, or brainstorming fresh ideas for disc golf with my friends. I’m excited for the upcoming season and wish all you slingers the best of luck. Most importantly, I hope you all have a fun and enjoyable season. See you on the green!

Public Relations - Matthew Glennie
Hello!!!! I'm Matt, I have been playing disc golf for roughly 5 years now. When I got into the sport I couldn't get enough my first year I played around 200 rounds. My passion is to make the sport more accessible and welcoming to new and old players alike. If you see me out on the course feel free to give me feedback and join my round!!!

Member at Large - Laurie Free
Hi! My name is Laurie Free, and I’ve been playing disc golf since August 2020—around 5 years now. I really enjoy being out on the course, taking in the sights and sounds of nature; it’s such a refreshing experience! I’ve joined the board as a Member at Large, and I’m excited to see what we accomplish this year. I hope the community gets out and enjoys the season!

Member at Large - Chris Hoyt
Hey guys, my name is Chris. I've been chucking plastic since 2015, and some of you may remember that I was on the board some time ago. I took time off to focus on work and my little one. It's been like when your disc smacks a tree and turns into a roller, never know where things are going next! Anyways, I am excited to be back in a small role here and help give back some organized disc golf to Regina. Hope to see you out on the course! Oh and for those who are startled by my photo, there's a story behind it! Come ask me and find out what it is.
President - Devon Peters
Hello! My name is Devon and I’ve been disc-golfing for 7 seasons and playing disc sports for 10+. I have experience running non-profit organizations with annual budgets ranging from 20k to 100M+. I hope to be a steady hand for this organization as we support the growth of the sport locally and provincially. When I’m not throwing discs, I’m a high-school teacher in Regina.

Treasurer - Harjot Rudiak
Hi friends! My name is Harjot, but many of you may know me as Jo. I discovered my passion for disc golf three years ago, but my love for disc sports began seven years ago with Ultimate Frisbee. When I’m not out on the disc golf course, you’ll likely find me at CrossFit, camping, judging cheerleading competitions, or walking my dog, Rey. I’m a CPA accountant with over seven years of experience, working extensively with nonprofits and charities on audits, reviews, and bookkeeping engagements. As the RDGA treasurer, my goal is to streamline the financial processes to ensure future treasurers can easily manage the organization’s financial information. While I personally love working with numbers, I know they’re not everyone’s favorite. I’m excited for the year ahead and to contribute to the continued growth of this amazing sport!

Digital Media - Pam MacFarlane
Hello, my name is Pam and I have been playing disc golf for 3 years now. Even though that doesn’t seem very long, I have grown to love this sport, and enjoy taking my kids to the field as they have gained a love for the sport as well. I have been an avid sports player my entire life from baseball to the most recent soccer. I’m looking forward to working with this dynamic team and growing the sport in our community. If you see me out on the course, come join!

Member at Large - Jonathan Achtzehner
My name is Jonathan Achtzehner and I've been disc golfing for the last 8 years or so. Disc golf has been a fantastic way to meet new people, get outside, and truly devote myself to the fine art of hitting first available. I've always appreciated the work the RDGA has done to raise the profile of disc golf and organize events for the community, and I'm excited to be part of the team. When I'm not toting around the most understable bag of all time, I'm working as a bookkeeper, directing choir, playing viola, running fantasy sports pools, playing board games, or just being a dad. Looking forward to seeing you out on the course in 2025!

Member at Large - Zachary Sauve

Hello, my name is Zac! I have been playing Disc golf for 5 years and everyday I wish I found the sport sooner. Which leads me to my goal and the reason I decided to join the RDGA board, to help grow the sport and introduce it to as many people in my community as possible. I very much look forward to helping in any way I can for the 2025 season!
