12 Hour Disc Golf World Record

Regina Sets a World Record in Disc Golf – And Raises Funds for a Great Cause

On July 12th, 2025, the Regina Disc Golf Association (RDGA) hosted its first-ever 12-Hour World Record Charity Event at the Douglas Park Disc Golf Course. The goal? To set the world record for the most rounds of disc golf played on a single 18-hole course in just 12 hours—and our community delivered.
A total of 167 participants came out to play, support, and celebrate. Together, we achieved:
230 rounds played
4,140 holes completed
1,177,140 feet thrown
1,017,750 steps taken
555 kilometers walked

This incredible effort wasn’t just about sport—it was also about giving back. Through donations and purchases made during the event, we raised over $500 for the Street Culture Project, a local charity dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces for youth in Regina.
The event was open to all ages and skill levels, with borrowed discs available and door prizes handed out throughout the day. Matt Inouye played an amazing 8 rounds of disc golf and took home the ironman award!
We’re already looking ahead to next year’s attempt to break our own record. Stay connected with RDGA on social media for updates and ways to get involved. Whether you’re a seasoned player or brand new to the sport, we’d love to see you out there.
Thank you to all the disc golfer that came out to make history and make a difference. This event would not have been anything with you all!
